Faces of Wildlife portfolio was developed for the purpose of raising
awareness of wildlife that are in danger of disappearing due to human predation, environmental
stress and encroachment on habitat.
Faces of Nature in partnership with artist Henry Patton has come up with a series of
wildlife prints for this portfolio.
Cheetahs are already facing extention due to hunting, poaching and the loss of habitat.
These beautiful cats will no longer exist in the wild if we keep encroaching on their habitat. Less
and less acres are available and it is getting harder for them to find the game they need to survive.
Asian Black Bears (Moon Bears) are disappearing from the wild as more farmers continue to cage them
and bleed their gallbladder fluid, used in traditional Asian medicines. Many of these captured
bears live in cages no larger than their body for their entire life. The Gray Wolf almost disappeared
from the US due to predation of man. With forward thinking, the US fish and wildlife Department
has brought a sizeable population back in the West. But as they continue to rebound, conflicts with
ranchers are causing some States to look at hunting them to removal again. In Alaska, wolves are
hunted down from aircraft and each year permits to shoot down wolves are issued to hunters. Red-tailed
Hawks so abundant in the US are loosing the fight to developers encroaching on their habitat with
viable hunting grounds destroyed each year. Many are killed each year, struck by cars, as they try to
find food along highways that intersect their hunting grounds.
The portfolio is available for purchase. The price for the portfolio is $250.00 and consist
of four signed and numbered limited edition prints printed on high
quality, 11x14 inch watercolor paper, an information sheet on the animals, artist bio, Faces Poem, and
an introduction to the portfolio, all packaged in a black portfolio box. See the images below. To
purchase the portfolio, please contact Faces of Nature.
