About Faces of Nature Faces of Nature, Inc. was conceived in 2001 by artist Henry Patton as a way of using art to teach about animals, their lives and about what we need to do to guarantee their existence and well-being in the future. After several years of inactivity, in 2007 it was revamped to what it is today. Originally it was all about wildlife but today, it is also about domestic animals. Years of observation has given Henry and Faces of Nature an insite into what is happening to animals today. Years of predation at the hands of humans are slowly destroying many of the species we have come to love and endear. Big cats, great Apes, large fishes and more are facing extinction in the short future if changes are not made. Wild habitat is disappearing at alarming rates. Development in the US is overrunning much of the wildlife habitat. National Parks and seashores are being auctioned off to commercial enterprises and other commercial enterprises are destroying the few predators we have left. Changes need to be made. Our goal is to be able to sell art and to develop art shows to be used to further educate the general population and school age children. Funds raised go toward helping to support wildlife, environmental and rescue organization. Faces of Nature products are being made available to animal welfare organizations at discount prices so they can use them to help raise funds for their own projects. Our art shows are being made available to use to teach, as displays of information, and to help bring attention to the animals and the organizations that work for their welfare. "We can not keep up the destruction of habitat, predation on wildlife, and abuse, abandonment and over population of domestic animals," said Henry Patton, president of Faces of Nature, Inc. "We are the stewards of this earth and all the creatures that reside on it. We are responsible for what happens to them. We need to take a look at what we are doing and make changes to assure their survival, to set aside wild habitat and ensure a place in our lives and our children's lives for the future." "Please take time to volunteer to help animals. Donate generously to their welfare and to the organizations that see to their welfare. It is up to you and me to ensure their future." |
